The boy asked his father to grow a flower the size of their house, and the father did. And even a little exaggerated.
Douglas therefore ordered seeds from John Butler, who had grown the North American record sunflower, which boasted a height of 8 meters.
The family planted the flower in March and cared for it during quarantine. And thanks to the efforts of gardeners, the sunflower grew so quickly.

In order to prevent such a giant from falling, Douglas built a special mount that supports the sunflower.

The sunflower grown by Douglas and Stellan has become the largest in Britain. It can therefore be assumed that Douglas complied with his son’s request, and even did so with a margin.
