Taylor Swift has once again turned a new release into a giant Easter egg hunt. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore adds four new songs — “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon” and “Cleveland!” — but fans quickly realized the clues started appearing long before the songs were released.
One of the biggest clues was hidden in Swift’s “Opalite” music video. During a scene with four judges, all of them hold up score paddles showing a “0.” Fans connected the four zeros to “Patient Zero” and also to the four new songs on the Encore.
Another clue appeared in the same video. Behind one of the characters was a poster reading “PATIENT FOR THE ENCORE,” a phrase that now looks remarkably revealing.
Swift also left a puzzle during her surprise appearance at the 2026 Emmys. During a pre-recorded sketch with Mariska Hargitay, she delivered several unusual phrases that fans quickly began analyzing. The words were eventually recognized as an anagram for “ENCORE.”
“Cleveland!” contains another obvious connection, this time to Travis Kelce. The title references Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where Swift’s husband grew up.
Meanwhile, “Patient Zero” comes with a music video starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell. A preview has already been released, while the full video is set to premiere at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27.
Swift announced the four-song Encore after traveling to Sweden with Max Martin and Shellback. She explained that they originally went there to celebrate the success of The Life of a Showgirl, but ended up back in the studio creating more music.
For Swifties, that has only made the new release more intriguing. Every video, lyric and public appearance now seems capable of hiding another clue — and fans are already looking back to see how many hints they missed the first time.
