Ella Langley is celebrating an extraordinary week in a way that is very different from the usual champagne-and-red-carpet moment. Just days after her hit “Choosin’ Texas” made Billboard history, the country music star decided to face one of her fears — and she did it with an Argentine boa wrapped around her.
On Wednesday, Langley shared a TikTok showing herself getting up close with several exotic animals. At first, she had a parrot perched on her shoulder and sat beside a baby kangaroo on a couch. But then things became considerably more intense when she was introduced to the snake.
“This is facing my fears a little bit,” Langley admitted as she was presented with the Argentine boa.
The singer looked understandably nervous when she first held the snake, but she gradually became more comfortable. Before long, the boa constrictor was wrapped around her shoulders and resting against her body as Langley appeared to embrace the unusual experience.
Her wild animal adventure did not end there. The video concluded with Langley holding and hugging a lemur, and by that point she seemed completely caught up in the moment.
“I love today,” she said.
Fans immediately filled the comments with reactions to the unusual encounter. Some admitted they would have run away from the snake, while others praised Langley for being willing to try something outside her comfort zone. One fan called the experience “so fun,” while another told the singer never to change.
The timing of the adventure is especially notable because Langley has just experienced the biggest professional milestone of her career.
Her song “Choosin’ Texas” has now spent 23 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which previously held the record with 22 weeks at the top.
The milestone was clearly difficult for Langley to process. On Tuesday night, she posted a video on Instagram trying to find the right words to describe what was happening.
“I’m genuinely trying to find the words to explain what’s going on in my brain today,” she said.
Langley thanked fans for listening to and loving the song, admitting that she was struggling to find a big enough word to describe her emotions. Her dog could even be heard barking in the background as she tried to explain just how overwhelming the moment felt.
The singer said the success was changing not only her own life, but also the lives of the song’s writers and her family. She described the achievement as something that could create an atmosphere for the career she hopes to continue for the rest of her life.
Yet even with the record officially hers, Langley admitted that the moment did not feel real.
“It feels fake,” she said, joking that she expected someone to suddenly appear and reveal that the entire thing had been a prank.
Still, she was determined to celebrate. Langley told fans she was going out that night and was genuinely excited to experience such a major moment in her life.
“Choosin’ Texas” originally entered the Billboard Hot 100 in November 2025. It became Langley’s first top-10 hit in January before reaching No. 1 in February. The song has now spent 48 weeks on the chart overall.
After a week filled with record-breaking news, emotional reactions and career-changing milestones, Langley appears to be embracing the moment in her own way — even if that means putting a snake around her shoulders and proving she is willing to face her fears.
