Emily Blunt had a hilarious reaction when she found out that her husband, John Krasinski, had been named *Sexiest Man Alive* for 2024. In a cover interview for the magazine, the *Office* star revealed that Blunt, who he’s been married to since 2010, was “very excited” about his new title. At one point, the 41-year-old actress jokingly suggested using his *Sexiest Man Alive* cover photo as wallpaper in their home.
Krasinski, 45, laughed about Blunt’s comedic response, saying, “Do we have that on camera? Because that’s like a binding contract, I think. My children will love that. It won’t be weird at all.” He went on to praise his wife of 14 years, explaining that their marriage has been an ongoing journey of growth and learning together. “It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving. And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her,” he said.
The couple first met in 2008 and married two years later in a private ceremony at George Clooney’s estate in Lake Como, Italy. Since then, they have had two daughters, Hazel (10) and Violet (8).
Despite the title, Krasinski joked that it wouldn’t change much at home. “I think it’s going to make me do more household chores,” he quipped, adding, “After this comes out, she’ll be like, ‘Alright, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’”
In the interview, Krasinski also recalled his reaction when he first learned about the title. “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts,” he admitted. “Other than maybe I’m being punked. That’s not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be *Sexiest Man Alive*?’ And yet, it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”
