The actress, who gained notoriety for portraying Prue in the TV series “Charmed,” has been afflicted with a horrible illness for the past eight years. In June 2023, Shannen Doherty disclosed that the cancer had progressed to a lethal phase and had extended to the brain. Despite this, she doesn’t give up and has faith that she will heal.
“I’m fighting for my life all the time. At a “Beverly Hills 90210” reunion event, the star asserted in a recent interview that “I think I’m doing fantastic.”
She found it difficult to communicate with her fans. The boisterous applause from the audience overwhelmed the actress to the point that she started crying.
In 2015, Shannen received a breast cancer diagnosis. The condition was more serious than originally thought, as treatment showed. By 2017, the actress said that she was in remission.
After concealing her illness for some time, she stunned her fans in 2020 by announcing that the cancer had returned and was already in its fourth stage. Doherty’s life is being tested in other ways as well. She and her spouse, to whom she had been married for eleven years, separated in April 2023.
