One of Hollywood’s largest families made a rare appearance at the premiere of *Enchanted* in New York. Alec opted for a casual look, wearing a black T-shirt, a denim shirt, gray trousers, and gray-black sneakers. Hilaria looked flawless in a loose-fitting black pantsuit.
The couple posed on the red carpet with their six children. Alec and yoga instructor Hilaria are parents to seven kids: 11-year-old Carmen, 9-year-old Rafael, 8-year-old Leonardo, 6-year-old Romeo, 4-year-old Eduardo (Edu), 3-year-old Maria Lucia, and 2-year-old Ilaria. Maria Lucia was born five months after Edu, thanks to a surrogate mother. The rest of their children were carried and born by Hilaria herself.
The couple left their youngest daughter, Ilaria, at home under the care of a nanny. Alec was holding Maria Lucia, while Hilaria carried Edu. Their older children were comfortably in the middle, looking relaxed and completely unfazed by the cameras.
*Enchanted* is an animated musical adventure about a teenage princess whose parents are magically transformed into monsters. She must break the curse before time runs out. The film features voice performances by Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, Rachel Zegler, and other stars.
Recently, Alec appeared on the *Our Way* podcast with Paul Anka and Skip Bronson, where he humorously discussed his chances of becoming a father again. “I’m the only one I know who drives four kids to school in the morning, and when I come back home, there are three more waiting for me. Oh my God, how dare you ask me that?! I think I’m done.”
Alec’s niece, model Hailey Bieber, also has a 28-year-old daughter, Ireland, from Alec’s previous marriage to Kim Basinger. In May of last year, Ireland made her famous father a grandfather by giving birth to a daughter named Holland. “I have eight kids. My oldest daughter lives with her boyfriend in Oregon. She has a baby. I met my wife Hilaria, we got married, and in nine years, we had seven kids. It’s crazy,” Alec laughed.
The actor has also been involved in the case surrounding the unintentional death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. On October 21, 2021, during the filming of the Western *Rust*, Alec fired a prop gun that was accidentally loaded with live ammunition instead of blanks. Halyna tragically died from the wound. In July, the New Mexico state court officially closed the case with no right to reopen it.
