A small neglected kitchen of 4.5 sq.m. turned into a fairy tale. Photos before and after

At first the premises looked like this photo. Of course, at that time renovation works were already underway. We replaced utilities, changed floors and carried out other small tasks.

We took this photo when the wall was still connected to the bathroom. You can see that the kitchen was in a deplorable state: a “killed” sink, old metal grids for dishes, Soviet-style tiles. It was obvious that the renovations were done here back in the days of the Soviet Union.

Of course, Soviet furniture and finishing materials are a kind of quality mark. It is hard to imagine that IKEA items would last so long. However, the renovation was done a long time ago, so the kitchen looked “shabby”.

The mixer tap in the kitchen deserves special “praise”. It is double, such a device looks very ridiculous. Another oddity is the heating batteries. They are located one above the other. Moreover, one of the batteries is located above the kitchen table. This looks extremely strange and ridiculous.

After the renovation, the kitchen is unrecognizable. It is compact, functional, with modern equipment. Also, the shades of furniture and finishing materials are harmoniously selected. The kitchen looks fresh and attractive.

The room size is 4.5 square meters. This is a very small area. However, it was possible to place not only a hob, but also a dishwasher. There was also room for a refrigerator. I think that they chose the perfect location for it.

Surprisingly, from a tiny kitchenette it was possible to make a functional and convenient kitchen, where any housewife will enjoy cooking. Of course, it is worth noting some minor shortcomings. I consider the abundance of magnets on the refrigerator a minus. Also, I do not really like the silver ribbon that divides the kitchen space into zones.
