Beloved Leeds Rhinos and England rugby star Rob Burrow passed away on June 2 at the age of 41 after a courageous fight with motor neurone disease (MND). Hundreds of supporters gathered in tribute, with fans wearing Leeds Rhinos jerseys flooding the streets in blue.
A civil reception at Leeds Civic Hall celebrated his life, attended by family, teammates, and local leaders. Burrow’s funeral cortege made a stop at Featherstone Lions’ ground, where his rugby journey began.
In his emotional farewell, Burrow urged, “Don’t waste a moment of life.” His wife, Lindsey, described him as a man who “made the world a better place.”
