From Outcast to Admission: Kanye West Issues First-Ever Apology for Controversial Behavior.

Controversial rapper Kanye West, who now officially goes by Ye, has taken an unprecedented step. For the first time, the artist apologized for all of his actions that turned him into an outcast. This includes his numerous antisemitic statements, wearing a Nazi-symbol T-shirt, and many other negative episodes.

Ye purchased a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal to publish a major confession and apologize for his scandalous behavior over the past few years. The rapper admitted that he had been seriously ill, and that his illness was the reason behind much of his behavior.

According to Ye, over the past year, he experienced a four-month manic episode accompanied by psychosis, paranoia, and a complete loss of self-control. “This condition destroyed my life,” he wrote. He admitted that a few months ago he hit rock bottom and was in such despair that he didn’t even want to continue living.

Ye cites a frontal lobe brain injury sustained in a car accident 25 years ago as the primary cause of his erratic behavior. The injury was not diagnosed in time, which led to the development of bipolar disorder.

“The scariest part is how convincingly this disorder convinces you that you don’t need help. You feel all-powerful and confident, even though in reality you are completely disconnected from reality,” West explained.

The rapper directly addressed his horrific statements about Hitler and his antisemitic tirades. He assured the public that he is deeply ashamed of his actions and emphasized, “I am not a Nazi and I am not antisemitic. I love the Jewish people.” Ye added that his hateful speeches were a result of his illness, though he acknowledged that this does not excuse his behavior.

He also said that his wife played a crucial role in his path to recovery, insisting that he seek treatment. The rapper admitted that he had previously mistakenly believed his condition was a form of autism, but he has now accepted his bipolar disorder diagnosis and is undergoing therapy.
