Unconventional ideas for inexpensive secondary repairs.
Designer Victoria Egorova was faced with the task of turning a one-room standard apartment, unsuitable for habitation, into a fully finished and packaged object for sale in a short time and for a reasonable price. It was necessary to create a bright, visually attractive space with maximum functionality. We tell you the details.
Kitchen before renovation
The room has a complex geometry, several projections, and an exit to the loggia.

Kitchen after renovation
The kitchen furniture was custom-made due to the complex geometry of the kitchen and the desire to maximize storage space. In addition to the standard built-in refrigerator, 45cm dishwasher, oven and storage drawers, convenient shallow additional storage areas have been created at the entrance to the kitchen. A ready-made cabinet for storing various household items was also installed in the kitchen.

Loggia before renovation
The loggia is narrow, running along the wall of the room, but the entrance is only from the kitchen.]

Loggia after renovation
All the walls were leveled and prepared for painting, and the floor tiles were replaced. It turned out to be a very pleasant space.

Room before renovation
The entrance to the living room is from the corridor, the light passes through the loggia, so there is not very much of it.

Room after renovation
The floors are laminate, the walls are smooth non-woven wallpaper for painting. The most popular and understandable finishing materials for end consumers. In addition to the sleeping area, the room contained a spacious closet 2400 mm wide with thoughtful contents in the form of rods, shelves and drawers.

“The furniture for the apartment was selected based on the overall restrained style in white/gray/beige colors. We added some black details in fittings, accessories and decor. The main task when decorating was not to “crush” the apartment itself, volume, light and space, so we used a minimum of decor. Greenery looks very good in glass vases, emphasizing the overall idea of the project – light, air, freshness,” says the designer.

Bathrooms before renovation
Separate bathrooms with a standard arrangement of equipment. It was necessary to put everything in order and hide communications.

Bathrooms after renovation
In the bathroom and toilet, the arrangement of plumbing fixtures was left unchanged, only connections for the washing machine in the bathroom were added. The decoration included sand-colored porcelain tiles in combination with painting the walls white, separating them with black moldings to give the rooms a finished look.

Hallway before renovation
The apartment had an ugly hallway with old doors and decoration. Everything needed to be replaced.

Hallway after renovation
The cabinets were purchased ready-made. All that remained was to select the required content and size range on the seller’s website. A closet for storing seasonal clothes was installed in the hallway. The doors were replaced with white panels with trim, and the front door was made with a mirror.
