Angelina Jolie attended the premiere of the film “Couture”, where she plays the dramatic lead role, in an outfit that raised many questions — and drew even more stares.
The actress managed to look both provocative and elegant at the same time. For her red carpet appearance, the star chose Cartier jewelry and a chocolate-colored coat. The highlight of the look was that under the outerwear, there seemed to be nothing but lingerie. Jolie playfully revealed her leg in sheer tights through a long slit, teasing the audience even further.
In “Couture”, Jolie portrays a woman who learns she has breast cancer during her divorce. Knowing that Jolie’s own mother died from the same illness, one can only imagine how deeply she brought the role to life. At a press conference, when a journalist asked her what she would say to those who lost a loved one to breast cancer, Jolie fought back tears. It took her several seconds to compose herself.
Angelina shared a personal memory. She recalled her sick mother’s words — that everyone only asked her about cancer and how she was coping. Following her mother’s advice, Jolie said it’s important to talk about anything but the illness, and to remember that a disease does not define a person.
Jolie previously learned she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation, which indicates a high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Because of this, the star underwent surgery to remove her breasts and fallopian tubes.
