What’s the secret to a long and happy life? That question has puzzled generations. But 103-year-old Deborah Szekely seems to have the answer. Despite her impressive age, she still works at the fitness resort and spa she co-founded with her husband back in 1940.
According to Deborah, three things have guided her throughout her life: always staying positive, walking every day, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She has been a vegetarian since the age of 4 and also practices meditation.

“I meditate in action—while walking, while doing things. My life is meditation. I don’t focus on the negative,” she shares.
Deborah also emphasizes that living in the past only drains your energy, so she chooses positivity instead.

“Don’t waste time looking back. It’s useless—you can’t change anything. Look forward, and focus on the things you truly want to achieve,” says the 103-year-old lady, revealing the life philosophy that has carried her through more than a century.
