When they first bought the place, friends and family couldn’t hide their reactions. The apartment looked run-down and unattractive—peeling walls, broken floors, and a layout that seemed hopeless. But the couple saw potential where others saw disaster.

They began their makeover with a clear vision. The hallway was opened up and blended into the living room to create a sense of openness. Soft gray tones were used on the walls to keep things minimalistic and fresh. Near the entrance, they added functional elements like a shoe rack and wall hooks. The space that once led to the kitchen now holds a washing machine and boiler.

The living room complements the hallway perfectly, continuing the gray color palette. A cozy gray couch, a green rug that adds a touch of nature, and a practical work corner now fill the space. By moving the kitchen entrance to the living room, they were even able to make space for the fridge.

A corner kitchen unit with a mix of light and dark cabinets cleverly makes the most of the limited area—every inch has its purpose.
