Will Smith, who’s been open about struggles in his marriage, recently made a surprising confession. The actor revealed that 27 years ago, he encountered a ghost. In fact, the supernatural entity was so unsettling that it forced him to leave a hotel.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, the “Men in Black” star shared the eerie story that led him to pack up and check out of a hotel. The 55-year-old actor was playing a game of True Confessions with his Bad Boys co-star Martin Lawrence when he told the tale.

In the game, each participant reads a supposed true fact about themselves, and the others guess if it’s true. When Will read his card, he said:
“One time, I had to check out of a hotel because of a ghost. This happened about 27 years ago.”

Fear made Will quickly gather his things and leave the room.
“The ghost used my friend’s bathroom, and it even deleted all his messages from his phone… It was at the Lanesborough Hotel in London,” the actor explained.
Jokingly, Jimmy Fallon asked if it was a British ghost. Will quickly responded that they “didn’t hear it speak.”
“We assumed it was British. But that was enough for us to decide to leave the hotel immediately,” Will added.
