Many people debate whether restoring old furniture is worth it. Today, I want to share a project that shows how giving new life to an old piece can not only be possible but also incredibly exciting!
Disassembly and Preparation: The project started with taking apart the wall—removing handles, doors, and shelves. The surface was then sanded using various grits of sandpaper to prepare for painting. Any imperfections were filled with wood putty to smooth things out.
Painting: The facades were painted with a wood finish based on linseed oil. Complex areas were carefully brushed, while flat surfaces were rolled. For the inner sections, acrylic paint was used. The blue hue added a unique touch, with blue stripes on the inner shelf and deliberately aged edges for a vintage look.
