Selena first showcased the symbolic piece of jewelry in 2023 when she announced her romance with Benny. She wore the gift from her boyfriend continuously for a year. Now, she has replaced it with her engagement ring.
“On the first day of my sale, which marks the countdown to the release of my album I Said I Love You First, it felt right to choose something that symbolizes the beginning of our relationship. This is the ring I showed in December 2023,” the pop star said.
Selena sold the ring for just 12 dollars (1040 rubles). The original value of the exclusive piece was estimated by jewelers at 3250 dollars. The ring was immediately purchased.
However, there was a technical glitch on the website. Several hundred people placed orders, but only one person was able to buy the ring. The others were left empty-handed and were notified of the error, with promises of a refund.
