This chair has long been a part of our family. It was restored once, but over the years it again lost its decent appearance: the fabric faded, the upholstery torn, and the armrests looked like they were about to fall apart.
But despite all this, I decided to breathe new life into it.
When I started the restoration, it became clear that the task would not be easy. The chair literally fell apart in my hands – the wood cracked, the fastenings broke, and the old foam crumbled into fine dust.
The armrests turned out to be almost plastic, although I always thought they were wood!
I replaced everything that could save the chair from complete destruction. Instead of the usual upholstery, I chose durable canvas – the material is rough, but incredibly reliable and stylish.
The new color of the chair turned out to be completely unexpected: from bright orange shades it was transformed into a calm light green.
The result exceeded all my expectations. The chair not only gained a new life, but also acquired a unique character.
It fits especially well into the unusual house for which I renovated it. Now it is not just a chair, but a real accent of the interior.
