The heir to the British throne and his wife attended the annual Christmas service at Westminster Abbey. The event took place on December 6 and has now been broadcast on television. Prince William and Kate Middleton attended with their three children – 11-year-old George, 9-year-old Charlotte, and 6-year-old Louis.
Kate chose a red double-breasted coat by Alexander McQueen, featuring a striking black bow, paired with black suede Ralph Lauren stilettos for the event. Charlotte wore a matching outfit with her mother. She looked adorable in a knee-length berry-cherry colored double-breasted coat with a rounded collar. Underneath, a pleated dark green skirt was visible. The outfit was completed with black tights and patent Mary Jane shoes. Her hair was parted down the middle and the top strands were tied into a ponytail, decorated with a black bow that also matched Princess Wales’ outfit.

Kate and William’s daughter smiled sweetly, and the royal children appeared to be in high spirits: all three were laughing and exchanging glances. The young princess giggled along with her brothers when one of the readers at the service, Richard E. Grant, recited A Christmas Carol with amusing intonations and facial expressions. However, she behaved attentively during the more serious moments, carefully singing along with her parents and others in attendance.
The schoolgirl also showed great maturity as an older sister when the family lit candles at the start of the service. Calm and composed, Charlotte made sure that her younger brother Louis had his candle lit and behaved appropriately. What fascinated her the most was the ballet performance. A fan of the art form, she attends ballet classes at her elite private school, Lambrook, in Berkshire. Charlotte watched the performance in awe from her seat in the front row.

The concert at Westminster Abbey marked Princess Wales’ most significant public appearance after a difficult year in which she underwent chemotherapy. In September, Kate announced that she had been cured of cancer and would gradually resume her royal duties. During the service, Prince George took the lead, and little Louis shared a touching moment with his mother.
