Brent Street, the modern dance trio from Sydney, delivered an unforgettable audition on America’s Got Talent on Tuesday, June 25, remaining unshaken by the long stage, bright lights, and pressure. Their performance, a mix of magic and drama, captivated the audience and judges alike.
The over twenty dancers, all dressed in white, showcased a stunning blend of strength, grace, synchronization, and impeccable timing as they danced to “Hope” by rapper NF. Their flawless routines earned them a standing ovation from all four judges and the audience.
Heidi Klum described the performance as “something we haven’t seen before,” calling it “beautiful,” “exciting,” and “incredibly fun.” Sofia Vergara added, “The beginning was spectacular, and the rest was just as good. The coolest thing I’ve seen today was definitely that.”
Simon Cowell praised the group’s creativity, saying, “It was what they were doing with their brains, because this was such a well-thought-out, creative, and original performance, in addition to what they were doing with their bodies. That’s the kind of audition we love.”
Zack Degersigny, the 17-year-old leader of the group, revealed that the performance had been planned for months.
Howie Mandel gave his final praise, saying, “Everything you did struck me as incredible. It was unexpected,” before hitting the Golden Buzzer, releasing glitter from the ceiling.
The Brent Street crew, known as “Australia’s Home of Performing Arts,” moves forward in NBC’s search for new talent.
