Madonna spent Thanksgiving with all her loved ones. The 66-year-old Queen of Pop shared a rare family photo of her six children with their father Silvio after celebrating in the Hamptons.
In the first photo, the singer and her 93-year-old father are sitting under a tree, surrounded by Madonna’s children : Lourdes Leon , Rocco Ritchie, David Banda , Mercy James and twins Stella and Esther.
“We are born into families and we create our own. As time goes by, I appreciate more and more these microcosms of life that dance around me and teach me lessons every day,” Madonna captioned the footage.
The star noted that their family has “experienced a lot of loss this year.” The artist’s brother, Christopher Ciccone, died of cancer at age 63 in October – a month after Madonna’s stepmother, Joan, also died of cancer at age 81.
“My dad endured with grace. Seeing him cry in the cemetery when we buried my brother Christopher, right after he lost his wife… It was a moment I will never forget. Spending time with him and all my children on Thanksgiving was medicine for the soul,” the pop singer wrote.
