😮The world’s tallest woman had a meeting with the shortest woman in London.😳

In London, the celebration of the 20th annual Guinness World Records Day took place. The organizers arranged a traditional English tea at the Savoy Hotel for two record-breaking women — the tallest woman in the world met the shortest.

Currently, the tallest woman on the planet is 27-year-old Rumeysa Gelgi from Turkey. She earned this title in 2021. Her height is 215 cm. She has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Weaver Syndrome, which causes accelerated growth and bone deformation. There are only 50 known cases of this anomaly worldwide, and Gelgi is the only one in Turkey with this diagnosis. She uses a wheelchair to move around due to her skeletal deformities and relies on a walker for support when standing. Rumeysa was homeschooled and works as a web designer.

The shortest woman in the world is 30-year-old Jyoti Amge from India. Her height is 62 cm, and she has been diagnosed with achondroplasia. Jyoti also has a high-pitched, childlike voice. She has made a career out of her unique traits, becoming a popular blogger and actress. Recently, she appeared in the TV series American Horror Story.

The two women were delighted to meet. They found that they had a lot in common — Rumeysa and Jyoti both enjoy taking care of themselves and doing makeup. “I’m used to looking up and seeing people taller than me, but I was so happy to raise my head today and see the tallest woman in the world,” Amge emotionally shared.

The record-holders took the height difference with ease and humor. “Sometimes it was difficult to look each other in the eye because of the height difference, but it was great,” Gelgi commented to Guinness World Records.

Rumeysa and Jyoti were both named “icons” of the Guinness World Records. Other “icons” included the world’s tallest man, Sultan Kösen from Turkey, the woman with the longest nails, Diana Armstrong from the U.S., and British strongman and amputee Dave Walsh. “The Guinness World Records is dedicated to celebrating differences,” concluded Craig Glenday, the editor-in-chief of the Guinness World Records, who was present at this unique meeting.
