Narinder Kaur has faced strong criticism after making a remark about Kate Middleton’s appearance as the Princess of Wales returned to royal duties following cancer treatment. The former *Big Brother* contestant posted the offensive comment on X, questioning why Kate appeared to have “aged so much” at 42, and suggesting smoking might be the reason. Her tweet was in response to an article about Kate attending the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Cenotaph.

The 51-year-old TV personality’s comment sparked outrage, with many users calling it “dreadful” and “disgusting.” Initially, Kaur defended her post, replying to a tweet noting Kate’s recent cancer treatment by stating: “My brother had cancer… he didn’t age like that.”
However, Kaur later apologized in a video, acknowledging that her tweet was “stupid” and explaining that it wasn’t meant to be malicious. She also condemned the abusive responses she received, including “sexual, racist, and violent” messages, and claimed that her intention was simply to ask a question, not to insult Kate.

In the same video, Kaur controversially suggested that Kate had “a lot of privilege” for not having to work during her cancer treatment. She also claimed that some of the criticism she received was related to Meghan Markle, and accused her critics of trying to pit the two women against each other. Kaur stated, “You exposed your narrative,” implying that her criticism was being dismissed because of her ethnicity as a brown woman. She insisted that she would not be silenced despite the backlash.

Many social media users were appalled by Kaur’s remarks. One, Paul Tavares, described her tweet as “utterly appalling,” while broadcaster Josh Rom responded by emphasizing that Kate had battled cancer, calling Kaur’s comments “offensive.”
