The royal family has almost completely turned its back on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with even Meghan not receiving birthday congratulations. However, it’s not just the British monarchy that seems to be growing tired of the couple.
Eric Trump, the son of U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump, has strongly criticized the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s stay in the United States.
The 40-year-old Eric stated that his father has great respect for the British royal family, especially Queen Elizabeth II, but that every family has someone who stands out in a negative way.
Eric referred to Meghan and Harry, who have lived in California since 2020, as “rotten apples” and “bad actors,” hinting that Donald Trump could deport them if he is re-elected president in November. He believes that the couple is deliberately tarnishing the reputation of their royal relatives.
He also joked that after all the scandals and lawsuits associated with them, the couple hardly garners any sympathy. People in both the UK and the United States seem eager to be rid of them.
“You can gladly take these two back. We’ll be happy to send them back from America. You can leave them here, but I’m not sure you need them. Maybe they’re no longer needed here (in the U.S.)? It feels like they’re on their own little island. Every place has bad actors. Rotten apples can exist in any garden,” said Trump’s son.
Earlier, Donald Trump had suggested that Harry could face legal consequences like any other individual if it turns out he lied in his application for a U.S. visa.
