Prince William charmed fans when he stepped out with a unique accessory. On Tuesday, November 5, the son of King Charles III appeared in Cape Town, South Africa, where he opened the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony, wearing several ties from the eco-friendly brand Wilmok, emphasizing his commitment to companies focused on planet-friendly practices. William has been purchasing ties from this independent brand based in Rome since 2022, and the royal attention has given the small company such a boost that it now receives requests from clients worldwide.
“It’s an incredible honor not only to know that he continues to wear our ties but also that he is showing them to the world,” said the brand’s founder, Darryl Wilson, in an interview. “It gives us a lot of hope and inspiration to keep growing.”

During his visit to Cape Town, William, speaking at a panel discussion, discussed the importance of investing in youth for environmental protection. On that day, he wore another meaningful accessory—a green tie with a white floral pattern—created in collaboration with the American company Circ, a pioneer in textile recycling and one of the finalists in last year’s Earthshot competition.

“Together, we created a tie made from 100% lyocell, with 40% recycled waste. This is the first time we’ve done this, and we’re thrilled with the result!” Wilson said, adding that this particular design was created specifically for Prince William’s tour.

In addition to his impressive tie collection, William also brought a piece of home with him: he wore a handmade blue-green friendship bracelet made by his daughter, Princess Charlotte. The bracelet, crafted from white beads, spelled out the word “Papa.” William was first spotted wearing the bracelet on Monday. The accessory is reminiscent of the ones worn by fans of Taylor Swift. At one of the pop star’s concerts, William and Charlotte were seen in the VIP box at Wembley Stadium, watching the performance together.
