Heartbreaking farewell: A tearful Nicole Kidman finds strength in her husband’s support during her emotional goodbye to her mother.
The 57-year-old actress bid farewell to her beloved man. Nicole Kidman was supported at the memorial service by her husband Keith Urban and daughters.
The Hollywood star with Australian roots held a farewell ceremony and service for her late mother Janelle today. The funeral took place in the family’s native Sydney, at St Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay. Nicole wore a black dress with an openwork white frill at the hem. He was accompanied by a matching coat and suede shoes with a stable heel.
The actress wore her hair in a simple ponytail, decorated with a black ribbon. Kidman hid her tear-stained eyes under sunglasses, she carried a large bag. Australian country singer Keith Urban wore a traditional black outfit – a silk shirt with a skinny tie, an impeccable suit and patent leather shoes. Nicole looked gloomy when she left the church, while Keith carefully supported his exhausted wife by the hand.

The couple’s daughters, 16-year-old Sandi and 14-year-old Faith, were spotted at Janelle’s farewell. During one of the emotional moments, Sandi was seen wiping away tears, overcome with emotion on this difficult day. However, Nicole’s adopted children from Tom Cruise, Bella and Connor, did not attend the ceremony. Nicole’s 54-year-old sister Antonia, her husband Craig Marran and their children mourned their late mother along with her.
The quiet farewell was attended by close family friends, including Channel Nine presenter Richard Wilkins and his girlfriend, make-up artist Mia Hawkswell. Guests included presenter Peter Overton, his wife Jessica Rowe and their daughters Allegra and Gisele. Allegra supported Sandy and Faith by giving them a big hug, the Daily Mail reports.

Kidman and Urban have maintained close ties with the Overton family over the years, and in 2023 they celebrated New Year’s together at the actress and musician’s multi-million pound North Sydney penthouse.
Peter was a pallbearer at the funeral of the star’s father Anthony Kidman on September 19, 2014, which was held at the same church as Janelle’s service. There was a more public farewell to the man who died of a heart attack in Singapore at the age of 75. Many of the Oscar winner’s celebrity friends were in attendance, including actor Russell Crowe.
Janelle passed away in September at the age of 84. It happened a few hours before Kidman was to receive the award for best actress in the film “Baby” at the Venice Film Festival. In connection with this, the actress hastily left Italy and returned to her family in Australia.
