According to actor Patrick J. Adams, his on-screen colleague Meghan Markle reached out to him after news of a new project. Responding to fans on a forum, the 43-year-old Patrick explained that while he and Meghan don’t actually communicate regularly, the Duchess contacted him after he announced the launch of a film project. He and his former co-star from “Suits,” Sarah Rafferty, started a podcast that revisits episodes, which inspired Meghan to reach out.
“We don’t really stay in touch. She’s living a completely different life now for obvious and important reasons. But she probably heard about the podcast and sent me a lovely message expressing her happiness for us and asking how she could help,” the actor shared.
He added that it feels wonderful to receive such support after a long time. Back in 2020, two years after Patrick attended the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, he admitted that he was “a bit nervous” about reaching out to her.
“I have no doubt that I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I’m not sure what I would say. After the kids were born, we exchanged some messages and gifts, but I think I’m a bit intimidated,” Adams said.
Last year, Patrick confessed that he misses his friends from the show, sharing photos from filming, four of which included Meghan. However, the day after posting, the photos were removed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
