The legal debates between Angelina Jolie and the FBI, which lasted over two years, have unexpectedly come to an end. According to Page Six, the actress has withdrawn her lawsuit against the FBI, which had been reviewing her family drama since 2016.
To recap, eight years ago, the FBI began an investigation following an anonymous call about a potential physical altercation involving Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their children aboard a private plane. However, the case was quickly closed without charges against the actor, and soon after, Jolie filed for divorce. Six years later, she decided to revisit this incident in court.

In April 2022, the actress filed a lawsuit under the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” citing the Freedom of Information Act. She sought information about the investigation into the domestic violence incident in which she and their minor children were involved as victims and witnesses. According to a Page Six source, this lawsuit was part of Jolie’s strategy to obtain compromising information on Pitt, which she could use in her custody battle over their six children—a matter that the former spouses have yet to resolve.

In 2022, the actress sued the FBI after it refused to pursue charges against Pitt. Moreover, the bureau did not even initiate an investigation. Agents reviewed video footage from the plane and concluded that there was no physical violence.
