49-year-old Bradley Cooper has long stopped hiding his relationship with 29-year-old Gigi Hadid. However, they have been seen together less and less lately. The last time paparazzi caught them together was last summer while they were on holiday in Sardinia with friends and their children. What started as a rapidly progressing relationship has clearly slowed down. Friends of the couple believe they’ve reached a point where it’s time to take their romance to the next level, but the actor isn’t ready to commit.

Since they were first spotted together in October of last year, they seemed to be an exciting couple, frequently seen out and about, traveling together, and introducing each other to their families. An engagement announcement seemed just a matter of time. However, no proposal has come from Bradley, and it seems unlikely that Gigi will be waiting for one. According to an insider close to the model, Gigi is frustrated that Cooper keeps her in a “holding pattern”—not breaking up with her but also not proposing.

As a mother of three-year-old Khai, her daughter from a previous relationship with Zayn Malik, Gigi is eager for another child. With time passing, she fears that a new pregnancy could become a complicated issue. Thus, the insider believes Gigi is close to giving Cooper an ultimatum: either they start a family, or she will walk away.

It’s worth noting that Cooper’s behavior is quite typical for him. Although he will turn 50 next year, his only marriage to Jennifer Esposito lasted less than a year and ended nearly 20 years ago. Since then, he has had a string of high-profile relationships but has never married any of his partners, including Renée Zellweger, Jennifer Lopez, Zoë Saldana, and Suki Waterhouse. He had affairs with them, they invested years in him, and then he moved on. The only exception was Irina Shayk, with whom he had a semblance of a civil partnership for four years while raising their daughter Lea. However, he never married her either, and eventually, she left him. It seems Cooper is set in his ways.
