Until she was 18, Marina lived in her parents’ apartment. The family was not rich – her mother was a tram driver, her father was a tent-maker who was forced to retire due to disability. What her parents earned was barely enough for food and the simplest clothes.
Even as a child, Marina tried to find a job and help her parents. At one time, she pasted up ads, distributed leaflets, and worked in a small store owned by family friends. Despite all the girl’s efforts, she was unable to improve her financial situation.

The only prospect Marina saw was a good education. The girl passed the Unified State Exam with high scores, which gave her the opportunity to take a budget place at a university in another city. At 18, the girl left her parents’ house to study.
While still in school and rushing from lessons to her next part-time job, Marina decided that as soon as she started earning good money, she would help her parents with renovations in their apartment.

For almost a year and a half, the girl combined her studies and work, and had several part-time jobs. It was difficult, but the efforts were worth it – the girl was able to raise money to renovate her family’s old apartment.
There was not enough money for workers, so the family did almost everything with their own hands. Together they put the walls in order, painted the radiators, chose and sewed the curtains.

The old wooden floors were covered with laminate, some new furniture was bought, and the old sofas were cleaned and put in order by a special service. The girl plans to earn money for new furniture for the entire apartment. The craftsmen were called only to install the suspended ceiling.
The girl found almost all the necessary materials at sales or with good discounts, which allowed her to save a lot.

While the holidays lasted, Marina and her family managed to finish work in only one room, but after the session, the girl plans to radically change the kitchen and bathroom.
Marina’s family did not believe that the girl was able to collect money for the renovation, and only when they found themselves in a building materials store did they finally understand that their dream would soon become a reality.
