Dane says that paying off the mortgage would take many years, because his income is not very high. The guy has never had any desire to take on debt. And he would not be able to buy a house without loans, he would have to save almost until old age.

And so it happened that Dane decided to build a house on his own. He had never done anything like this before, so he asked his father, a professional carpenter, for help. The father gave his son all the support he could, and he decided to take on this undertaking.

In addition to his father, the guy had help from his friends. If it weren’t for them, the construction would have taken much longer. Dane’s budget was very small, so he had to take discounted materials.

The windows cost only thirty dollars, and the guy got the stove for free. The construction lasted about a year. The result was a very nice, albeit small, house with everything necessary for life.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to live in a house like this. The house is heated with a stove, and Dane cooks on a gas stove. He didn’t install electricity, using a gasoline lamp instead. The only thing that connects the guy to civilization is his mobile phone, which is connected to the Internet.

Dane has set up his own garden, where he grows various vegetables and fruits. This small piece of land was given to him by a neighbor. In the future, the guy plans to start breeding chickens.

– I have always loved peace. I can’t imagine how people live in noisy cities. I am completely happy with this wilderness. My parents did not understand my choice, but then they visited me a few times and calmed down. They are glad that I am happy. This is the most important thing for them. They do not judge me for my choice.

The furnishings in Dane’s new home are very modest, but the boy is provided with everything he needs to lead a normal life. He does not need anything and is completely satisfied with everything.

– My friends decided that I was crazy to live like that. They can’t imagine life without light and TV. But I’m never bored, I have things to do without these “benefits”. I will never understand those who don’t know how to entertain themselves.

Dane has already made friends with many local farmers and spends a lot of time with his new friends.

He doesn’t have a girlfriend yet. The guy understands perfectly well that many people might simply refuse to live in such conditions. If there is such a need, he plans to build a bigger house. Buying a ready-made home is out of the question, because it is still too expensive for Dane. Even by modest estimates, a small cottage would cost more than one hundred and eighty thousand dollars. What is the point in such expenses? The guy’s opinion on this issue has not changed.
