Today we want to tell you about a unique case that happened in Rio de Janeiro. Maybe someone will think it is not true, but for the first time twins were born there in different years. And all because one of the sisters was born on December 31, 2020 at 23:58, and the second – with a difference of three minutes, that is, on January 1, 2021 at 00:01.
The mother of these twins arrived at the maternity hospital at eleven o’clock in the evening. She was immediately given a cesarean section and thus the twins were born. The girls were born with almost the same weight, and their height differed by two centimeters. The sisters were born healthy and are now doing well.
Since the twins were born earlier than expected, they were kept under the supervision of doctors in the hospital for some time. Doctors said that it is very rare for twins to be born in different years. Medical workers even celebrated it!
The parents of these unique twins have two more children. So the New Year will now be a double holiday for them.
