The wife of Prince William has shared news about her battle with cancer. The Princess of Wales learned of her terrifying diagnosis in January and underwent a complex abdominal surgery to remove a tumor. Reports indicated that Catherine was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
Today, she announced that she has completed her course of chemotherapy. Although her treatment is not over, it seems that the King Charles III’s niece will soon start making more public appearances. She mentioned that she is preparing to return to some of her duties, though it is clear that she will not be able to take on the same workload she had before her illness. A reduced schedule of events involving her is anticipated until the end of 2024.
In her statement, she thanked everyone for their support and warm wishes from around the world, and also addressed her husband. William has been by her side, helping with the care of their children and assuring her that together they can overcome this challenging ordeal.
“The last nine months have been incredibly hard for us as a family. Life, as you know, can change in an instant, and we have had to navigate its turbulent waters and face a very difficult path. This journey has been challenging, frightening, and unpredictable for everyone, especially for those closest to us,”
the statement reads.
Alongside her announcement, Catherine shared footage of her relaxing outdoors with her husband and children. In the video, she is seen joyfully walking through a park and playing cards with George, Louis, and Charlotte during a picnic. The family spent August in Scotland, and paparazzi captured William with his wife and children near Balmoral, a favorite retreat of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
