After being given a “zero percent” chance of survival, a mother’s unborn daughter defied the odds, earning the nickname “Baby Hulk” due to her rare condition. Armani, the daughter of Chelsey and Blake Milby, was born with lymphangioma, which causes non-cancerous growths in the lymphatic vessels. Her upper torso and arms grew unusually large, giving her the look of a tiny bodybuilder, prompting her mother to affectionately call her “Mini Hulk.”

Armani’s condition was diagnosed at 17 weeks of pregnancy. Born via C-section at 33 weeks weighing 12 pounds, she surprised everyone by crying immediately. Her mother, Chelsey, experienced panic and fear before the birth, while her father prayed outside the delivery room.

Initially devastated by the diagnosis, Chelsey’s emotions shifted when she first saw Armani. Overwhelmed with gratitude and awe, she realized her tears were no longer from fear but from wonder at her daughter’s resilience.

After birth, Armani was transferred to a specialized hospital in Cincinnati for treatment. Chelsey also battled postpartum depression during this time, describing their journey as a “rollercoaster,” but remained determined to stay strong for Armani and her two older children.

Today, Armani continues to progress. Some excess fluid has been drained from her arms, earning her the new nickname “Squishy.” She’s reaching milestones like rolling over and attempting to say “momma,” showing remarkable development. The Milbys remain hopeful and celebrate every day with their “miracle” baby, cherishing her uniqueness.
