Secrets of Adelaide Cottage: Where Prince William and Kate Middleton Live
After many years at Kensington Palace, Prince William and Kate Middleton moved to a new residence in 2022. *Lux* reveals where this royal family now resides. Here’s a look at the house where Kate Middleton lived following her surgery.
Where Prince William and Kate Middleton Live
Today, William, Kate, and their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – reside in the charming pink Adelaide Cottage within the Windsor Home Park, near Windsor Castle. This cozy home offers the family greater freedom and privacy. Princess Kate is recovering from abdominal surgery and cancer treatment, and her spring announcement about her diagnosis was made among the daffodils in the garden.
Over the past two years, Windsor has truly become their home. The children attend Lambrook School, and Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoy horseback riding. The family frequents favorite spots like Windsor Farm Shop and the Christmas park LaplandUK in Ascot. Moving to Adelaide Cottage has also allowed them to be closer to Kate’s parents at Bucklebury Manor.
Instead of the opulent Kensington Palace, they now have a more modest but cozy four-bedroom home.
History of Adelaide Cottage, Where William and Kate Live
Adelaide Cottage was built in 1831 as a summer retreat for Queen Adelaide. The house is very charming and unique. It was long used as a guest house for royal friends. One of its notable residents was Peter Townsend, who had a romance with Princess Margaret. The house has undergone several updates and was listed on the National Heritage Register of England in 1975.
Adelaide Cottage is about a 10-minute walk from Frogmore Cottage, the home Queen Elizabeth gifted to Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in 2019.
