Celine Dion was just 12 years old the first time she saw 38-year-old Rene Angelil.
He was so enthralled by Celine’s talent that he mortgaged his Los Angeles house to finance her debut record.
René waited until Celine was eighteen before placing the engagement ring on her.
The two were lawfully married until René passed away in 2016 from cancer. Celine is currently raising their three boys.
Dion said, “I have never kissed another man in my life; Rene was my only partner.” Dion had recently received a diagnosis of a rare ailment causing muscle stiffness. “They were a beautiful couple.” How unfortunate.
