A woman turned a 1966 bus into a comfortable and cozy mobile home

A woman transformed a 1966 bus into a cozy, stylish mobile home, creating the perfect blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. Now look inside and you will be shocked.

In three years, a dilapidated bus was turned into a fashionable and comfortable residential home on wheels (Greyhound).

Some people inherit their dream home, while others choose it carefully and buy it. However, there are also willing people who build their one-of-a-kind home with their own hands.
The latest story tells of a brilliant American woman who purchased an old bus, equipped it with everything necessary for a comfortable nomadic life and gave it a charming appearance.
Jessie Lipskin was inspired to transform an old bus into a stunning Greyhound van.
This incredible story began when little girl Jessie Lipskin watched the documentary Trash Warrior, in which the main character, inspired by her environmental beliefs, created a home out of everyday trash. She got the idea to build eco-friendly alternative housing after watching eco-architect Michael Reynolds’ strange presentation in which he makes boats from trash and recyclable materials.
The interior of the mobile home is entirely built from natural materials.
They were also heavily influenced by the concept of minimalism, where people don’t need so many items or such big houses.
So, having gotten rid of everything unnecessary and packed everything into one suitcase, she went in search of a suitable car platform for building a tiny house.
Jessie Lipskin turned to friends and acquaintances for help.

On the same day, work began on converting the old bus into a pleasant and beautiful compact home. Jessie began furnishing the living area by removing all the furniture and trim because she wanted to build the simplest, eco-friendly home possible, with everything four people needed to live happily together.

She managed to design her dream home with a huge living room, a functioning kitchen, a well-equipped bathroom and a bedroom. They also planned and created various huge storage spaces, including a dressing room and space for a mini library.

This remarkable change was hampered by the girl’s lack of construction or carpentry ability, let alone plumbing. Obviously, she could not do some of the work herself, so she turned to friends and acquaintances for help, and in some cases even to specialists.

Ample storage space has been designed with careful planning.
However, she ultimately achieved the desired effect, as evidenced by the images.

Only natural wood and recycled and reclaimed natural materials were used in the interior design.

Since the creator of this one-of-a-kind motorhome is a nature lover, the interior was decorated exclusively with environmentally friendly natural materials. To conserve resources and provide a comfortable lifestyle with a low environmental impact, recycled materials and wood were used for insulation, coatings and numerous details, and energy-efficient systems and appliances were installed.

The living room of the little house on wheels is decorated with original paintings and paintings.

Jessie added aesthetic appeal to the eco-home on wheels by installing gorgeous hardwood floors and painting the walls white to brighten the room and add visual interest.
She also decided not to change the original bus windows, but left them as is to allow natural light to flood the entire house.
Professionals have created an LED evening lighting system that provides soft light and creates a quiet and warm atmosphere.
Paintings decorate free-standing walls, adding a vibrant accent to the overall architecture of the building.

The kitchen of the small mobile home is fully equipped.

The designers paid great attention to the layout of functional areas. Natural wood worktops, oven and hob, energy efficient washing machine, fridge freezer, water heater and gas tank are just some of the kitchen features. Of course, several cabinets and shelves for storing food and kitchen utensils have been thoughtfully and intelligently designed to allow for seamless movement in this area.

There is also a nice double bed with an orthopedic mattress and plenty of storage space underneath. Instead of a wall, a small library was built next to the bed, which will become an original decoration of the entire room.

Greyhound, a little girl who had never faced such a problem, came up with a fantastic concept for an off-grid sewer system. Used water and waste are drained into a large tank under the floor of the bus, which can be emptied in a designated area.
Since the water supply is stored in a separate tank, complete with a water heater and all the necessary plumbing equipment, you can easily use the shower, sink and toilet in the house.
