The mother of Sergei Telesenko, whose son was born with a rare nasal deformity, which went unnoticed during a prenatal ultrasound, addressed the program “I’m ashamed of my body.”
Despite the absence of such problems in the family, the parents could hardly afford the operation, which is performed only once every decade. Thanks to the intervention of volunteers who reported Sergei’s case, the surgeon agreed to perform the necessary operation, giving him a chance at a more typical appearance.
Despite the upcoming rehabilitation, both Sergei and his mother are very happy with the result.
Now Sergei is actively involved in a football club and enjoys communicating with his peers.
