This story is about the Kryukov family, who purchased a house in 2018. The owner saw an opportunity to renovate it, and the couple bought their future home.
Owner Anastasia Kryukova says: “We saw this house in the photo in the ad. The quality of the pictures was not the best. But even then the husband already realized how strong this building is, what its potential is and how good its location is. I agreed with my husband, and for good reason.” In February 2018, the house was in this condition.
Even in poor quality photographs you can understand that the house has a decent appearance.

His appearance has changed beyond recognition, would you agree?
This is the kind of work the new owners have done over the years:
- Roof replacement;
- Facade finishing;
- Extension of additional 48 sq.m;
- Removing the ceiling in one room and creating a second light;
- Arrangement of the attic: insulation, finishing for using the room as a living room;
- Construction of a canopy over a parking lot;
- Internal overhaul.
The owner revealed the nuances of financial expenses: “$26,000 was spent on a house and a plot of 10 acres. Utilities have already been installed: gas, electricity, water supply from a well. We had no other opportunity to find our own home. We took advantage of this chance.”
During the renovation, another $17,000 was invested in roofing, cladding, finishing repairs, installation of centralized water supply, sewerage and landscaping of the local area. Another $17,000 went toward building an addition.
It turns out that a house measuring 125 square meters cost the couple $60,000. Similar homes in the same area start at $65,000. “I think we made the right decision,” Anastasia shares about the financial side of the matter. The Kryukovs calculated that to build a new house with a similar area at the moment, it would take at least $95,000.
“You need to live here and now, and not put it off for later. We took on the task of renovating the old house, living and slowly changing it. It is possible to do this gradually when opportunities and desires arise. We always feel good in our home!”, summarized Nastya.
