When you look at the result that Jenna achieved, you can’t believe your eyes. From ordinary pine boards and chipboard panels, she created an original and inspiring decor that you want to repeat. Her ideas are so simple that anyone can implement them. However, this interior looks as if it was created by a team of architects and decorators.
The hostess chose two primary colors for her bedroom – white and dark gray. They echo and support each other on the walls, ceiling and furniture.
But the finishing deserves special attention. The wall behind the head of the bed was decorated with simple pine boards. And the decor of the opposite wall is nothing more than a combination of chipboard panels and wooden molding. The main task was to sand out the slightest irregularities. Including places of fastening with self-tapping screws and natural unevenness of wood. The result is impressive.
The original window looked boring. The frame itself was not changed, but the window sill, slopes and trim were made from the same pine molding. Thin narrow boards were polished and coated with semi-matte white paint. As a result, the window appears larger and the room appears brighter.
The ceiling is Jenna’s pride. It looks absolutely authentic. And yet it is fake. Laminated panels and foam beams with wood finish. Cheap, durable and looks beautiful. Reasonable savings on finishing allowed the housewife to allocate more money for furniture and decor.
Jenna chose the decor long and carefully. She thought through every detail. The main principle is naturalness. The soft headboard of the bed is upholstered in linen. Instead of bedside tables, there are wicker baskets mounted on cabinets. Instead of a coffee table there is a real oak barrel. A cozy daybed by the window and an aged chest of drawers. Candles, towel hooks, interior decoration of cabinets – all this looks organic and self-sufficient. Only the plasma panel seems like some kind of alien on this planet of harmony and comfort.
Jenna considers the bedroom one of the most successful rooms in the house. Everything turned out exactly the way she wanted. At the same time, the budget for repairs was relatively small. However, thanks to the simple but elegant finishing, as well as the decor, selected with soul and attention to detail, the room turned out to be “from the cover” of an interior magazine.
