Real examples in outdated apartments.
Many bathrooms (especially in older houses) cannot be looked at without tears. But you don’t need to do expensive European-quality renovations to breathe new life into your bathroom.
The owners of these apartments turned to designers for help to transform their homes. Let’s see what and how they did.
4. Stalinka: combined bathroom

Was:
The bathroom was more like a public toilet in a provincial town. Old shabby tiles on the wall, a strange mirror almost on the ceiling, a poster from the 90s and an old sink – this is how the bathroom looked originally.
Became:
Designer Marina Merenkova moved the faucets to the opposite wall, hung a large mirror and installed a washing machine. There are also several cabinets for household utensils in the bathroom.
5. Typical bathroom without remodeling

Was:
A typical view of a bathroom in an old house that requires renovation. Painted walls, plastic accessories and exposed pipes look completely unaesthetic. In addition, one common faucet for the sink and bathtub is not a very convenient solution.
Became:
They decided not to do a global rearrangement in this apartment, but replaced the furniture and appliances. Thus, designer Maria Bezrukova chose a functional mirror-cabinet and a sink with a blue cabinet. The bathroom was “cleaned” of traces of antiquity and the walls and floor were beautifully finished.
