The transformation of the two-room apartment in a brick house built in 1940 was carried out by designer Anna Maltseva. She had to create a laconic interior in which a traveling person could relax. The main feature of the design is the atmosphere and elements that refer to a bygone era.

Famous figures of politics, science and art lived in the house – from Rokossovsky to Tvardovsky. And history influenced the renovation process: they decided to leave the windows and put them in order, to preserve the slopes and historical radiator screens. During the redevelopment, the entrance to the kitchen was moved to the living room – a glass partition was made because of the gas.

People will not live in the apartment permanently, so the kitchen contents will be truncated. The budget was limited: for finishing we chose laminate, paintable wallpaper and suspended ceilings. The furniture is also inexpensive, but looks modern. Some items were restored – for example, chairs inherited from previous owners.
