“Madame Web” Crowned Worst Film of the Year: Full List of Razzie Award “Winners”
The superhero film Madame Web, set in the Spider-Man universe, has been named the Worst Film of the Year at the Golden Raspberry Awards. The film also took home Worst Screenplay, while Dakota Johnson received the title of Worst Actress for her performance.
Released on February 14, 2024, Madame Web faced heavy criticism from audiences. Despite its $80 million budget, the film barely managed to gross $100 million at the box office.

The story follows Manhattan nurse Cassandra Webb, who discovers she has the ability to see the future. Realizing she can use her powers to alter destinies, she encounters three young women who are destined for greatness—if they can survive the deadly threats of the present.
Other big “winners” of the night included Joker: Folie à Deux and Megalopolis, each securing two Razzie trophies. The Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga-led Joker sequel was awarded Worst Prequel, Sequel, Remake, or Rip-Off and Worst On-Screen Duo, while Megalopolis earned Worst Supporting Role and Worst Director for Francis Ford Coppola.

Founded in 1980 by film critic John Wilson, the Golden Raspberry Awards were created to spotlight the worst in cinema. According to legend, Wilson was so disappointed after watching the musicals Can’t Stop the Music and Xanadu that he felt compelled to establish the now-infamous “honor.”
