One of the main crushes of the tenth years and star of the TV series “The Vampire Diaries” Ian Somerhalder a couple of years ago gave up life under the spotlight and exchanged Hollywood for a house in the country, that is, for a farm near Los Angeles. He took with him his wife Nikki Reed (she is the ex-lover of Pavel Priluchny) and two children. Now the family grows their own food and enjoys spending time in nature, and the actors have swapped their fashionable shoes for cowboy boots and are very happy with it.
According to Ian, he does not regret this decision at all. Yes, he loves cinema very much and has done enough in his career to take a break and devote time to something else: together with his wife, he advocates for caring for the environment. And at the recent premiere of a documentary about farming, Nikki said that life on a farm requires a lot of effort, but it is incredibly interesting. “It’s great to see what happens to kids, to see them being involved in growing food and realizing what food is and where it comes from,” Page Six quoted the actress as saying.
By the way, neither Ian nor Nikki miss their Hollywood past – they really liked farm life.
