Inga Petri, just 20 years old, has already accomplished what many can only dream of — all while overcoming extraordinary odds.
Born without arms, Inga was abandoned by her biological parents, who considered her condition too burdensome. She was placed in an orphanage, a heartbreaking start to life for a child who had done nothing but come into the world differently.
But fate had brighter plans for Inga.

At the age of two, a compassionate couple from Pennsylvania — Daniel and Jennifer Petri — adopted her. They didn’t see a disability; they saw a daughter. With unwavering love, they raised Inga to believe in herself, never treating her as anything less than capable.
Although prosthetic arms were out of reach due to their cost, Inga astonished everyone by mastering daily tasks with her feet. From doing her makeup and typing on a computer to playing the cello, she proved that determination can overcome even the toughest limitations.

Now, although she owns prosthetic limbs, Inga rarely uses them — she simply feels more comfortable and efficient using her feet. She embraces herself fully, and that self-acceptance is the key to her incredible success.
Today, Inga is graduating from law school in Atlanta with a specialization in human rights law — a cause she’s been passionate about since childhood. Her kind, vibrant personality has earned her many friends, and she’s found love with someone who sees her heart first.

Inga’s story is a powerful reminder: disability does not mean inability. She’s living proof that self-love, perseverance, and purpose can break through any barrier.
Her life inspires others with challenges to dream big, stay confident, and live fully — no matter what.
