Few of us are ready to grow old, right? And, of course, this also applies to world-class stars. For example, the Terminator star, at 76 years old, has no intention of retiring. At the same time, what’s interesting is that it’s becoming increasingly difficult for an actor to look at his body. What Arnold Schwarzenegger told us about aging and why it is more difficult for him to come to terms with it, you will find out with us in the next few minutes.
Arnold Schwarzenegger on aging
Perhaps few people can boast of such shape and muscles in their eighties as Iron Arnie. And how can you not admire someone who has become an example for several generations? But Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, speaking about aging, does not hide his disappointment. After all, just recently he could show off his shape, muscles and biceps. Today, according to the actor, they are just hanging.
On October 4, 2023, Arnie shared his feelings about this in an interview with Howard Stern . Thus, the man admitted that he felt like “damaged goods.” And it’s becoming increasingly difficult for him to look in the mirror. And although Schwarzenegger continues to keep himself in shape, over the years it becomes not so easy.
“I guess I just smile when I look in the mirror every day and say to myself, ‘ This sucks. Just_look_at_this_body. Look_at_those pectoral_muscles that used to be strong, toned and really powerful. Now these muscles are just hanging.”
“I feel like damaged goods.”
Interestingly, Arnold_Schwarzenegger, speaking_about_aging, believes that it is much more difficult for him to put up with such an outcome than for many others. You see, according to the actor, most people have never been in the same shape as him. And, perhaps, it is difficult to argue with this.
The main changes, not for the better, began when the actor celebrated his fiftieth birthday. “I feel like damaged goods. I never thought at all when I was 30 or 40 years old that this would happen to me. It just sucks!” – Iron Arnie admitted in a conversation with Howard Stern.
At the same time, the Terminator star openly criticizes the modern generation. The thing is that the actor considers today’s youth weak. “I don’t want generations of weak people to grow up. People who strive to avoid any trouble at any cost.” It is noteworthy that the actor clearly has a better opinion of his illegitimate son. After all, following the example of his star parent, he also connected himself with the world of sports. And, who knows, maybe Joseph Baena will soon replace his father in cinema.
