A baby girl eagerly awaits the birth of her brother, but tragically dies days before

Starting a family is not a decision most parents take lightly. Loving and caring for a child is a huge decision. So knowing that a life you gave birth to with so much love is lost so young, can be devastating…

Krystal and Steven Edwards led a dream life in Brisbane, Australia. The young parents were ready to welcome their second child and expand their beautiful family.

Everyone was delighted with the arrival of the newcomer to the family and in particular their first child, their 23-month-old daughter, Ruby. She was incredibly excited about becoming a big sister.

Ruby suddenly fell ill, and her worried parents immediately took her to the doctor. They quickly discover that their daughter has the Corona virus, which shocks them as young children are the group least likely to be infected.

But due to her young age and the statistics, the parents are confident that she will recover in no time. But unfortunately, that was not the case.

Little Ruby was discovered to be suffering from a rare autoimmune disease. Her immune system attacked her body to fight off the virus. His health therefore deteriorated considerably. Her parents watched in shock as their little girl’s health declined.

Ruby spent several days in hospital where doctors did their best to treat her. However, that was not enough. Little Ruby has lost the battle against death.

Her parents describe their daughter as a little girl with “the most beautiful, long eyelashes, an infectious smile and amazing hair color. »

Ruby died on July 22, 2022, two weeks before her second birthday. Her devastated parents asked for support and understanding from their community.

They made a Facebook post about their loss, mentioning their belief that Ruby passed away peacefully. “Thanks to her treatment, we believe that she suffered no pain during her fight and was able to leave this world peacefully,” reads their statement.

Ruby’s death from Covid makes her the youngest person to die from the disease in Queensland.

The young family, who were so excited to have their child added to their growing family, suddenly had to deal with an immeasurable loss. “We feel like the world is crumbling before our eyes right now. It was supposed to be such a happy time when our family would become complete, but it is now so broken,” her parents said.

The young parents welcomed their son into the world on July 29, 2022, just days after losing little Ruby. They could never have imagined that the day of the birth of their son would not be accompanied by little Ruby.

“If you have kids, hug them a little tighter tonight,” Steven said in his Facebook post.

The couple try to stay strong even as grief hits them in waves. “We have to accept that it’s okay to not be strong at times and ask for help, which I’m not used to doing,” Steven wrote.

The young couple do their best. Steven revealed that he was also suffering from Covid which affected him a lot. He said he hoped to heal and feel happy again.
