For a long time, George Clooney was considered one of Hollywood’s ultimate heartthrobs. He dated Kelly Preston, Renée Zellweger, Krista Allen, and other actresses. Today, the actor is happily married to lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The couple is raising twins—a son, Alexander, and a daughter, Ella.

Clooney, who often starred in romantic comedies, displayed tenderness toward his on-screen partners. He shared kisses with Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and others. However, the 64-year-old actor recently announced that he plans to turn down such roles. He attributes his decision to his age.
“I’m trying to follow in Paul Newman’s footsteps. I will no longer kiss women. When I turned 60, I spoke with my wife. I said, ‘Look, I can still play basketball with the guys. I play with 25-year-olds. I can still do it, I’m in shape. But in 25 years, I’ll be 85. No matter how many granola bars you eat, that’s a real number,’” the actor told ER.

Clooney also recalled feeling awkward early in his career during a love scene. The director criticized his movements, and he humorously replied, “I remember in the beginning of my career I had to shoot a kissing scene with a girl, and the director said, ‘Not like that.’ And I said, ‘Dude, that’s my move! That’s how I do it in real life!’”

The Ocean’s Eleven star became a father for the first time at age 56. He says becoming a parent later in life has allowed him to spend more time with his children. He noted that he became more experienced and financially independent, which enabled him to be more selective about the projects he chooses. “When you’re young, you can’t really do anything about it,” Clooney said.
Recently, Amal Clooney appeared with her husband at the Venice Film Festival in a fuchsia mini-dress with bare shoulders. She had undergone a facelift prior to walking the red carpet.
