At 99 years old, Iowa native Lillian Weber is living proof that kindness has no age limit. Each day, she spends around three hours at her sewing machine, lovingly creating handmade dresses for children in Africa through the organization Little Dresses for Africa. No two pieces are alike—each one is thoughtfully designed and decorated, offering not just clothing but a little burst of joy, confidence, and comfort to young girls across the continent and beyond. 😊✨
So far, Lillian has stitched together more than 840 dresses, and she’s determined to reach 1,000 before celebrating her 100th birthday. But even after hitting that incredible goal, she has no plans to slow down. Sewing for others has become her heartwarming mission—one she plans to continue for as long as she can.
Her dedication has sparked inspiration around the globe. Volunteers from countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, and Australia have joined the movement, helping the charity deliver millions of dresses to places like Honduras, Guatemala, Thailand, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Cambodia, Mexico, and Haiti.
