And these aren’t just words. In the summer of 2024, Norris posted a video of himself doing reps with a 140-kilogram barbell. (Maybe the plates weren’t real — but honestly, who on earth would dare accuse Chuck Norris of faking anything?) The clip immediately went viral, with fans half-joking that the weights were probably afraid of him.
His lifestyle is equally impressive outside the gym. Norris celebrated his 85th birthday in March by climbing California’s Lassen Peak — a mountain that towers more than 3,100 meters above sea level. Most people his age would choose cake, candles, and a quiet evening at home. Norris chose a summit. Because for him, aging isn’t a decline; it’s simply a new terrain to conquer.
To Chuck Norris, age is just a number — and movement is everything.

“I try to stay very active, and I believe this: a body that keeps moving will keep moving, and a body that stops will stop,” the actor says. And he lives by that philosophy. He hikes, lifts, spars, and practices discipline like it’s still the early days of his career.

Norris also understands the importance of smart, joint-friendly training. Over the years he has adapted his routines, not by slowing down, but by training wisely. He still practices martial arts, but he now approaches it with greater focus on form and body mechanics. One of his secrets? Training in the pool to reduce pressure on the joints while still building strength and endurance.

“Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about healthy aging, and one of the most important lessons is learning to listen to your body and understand what helps it function at its best. That also means paying attention to the types of exercises you do — stretching properly beforehand and giving your body what it needs to recover,” the actor says.
At 85, Chuck Norris remains a symbol of discipline, perseverance, and unstoppable willpower — proof that strength isn’t just in the muscles, but in the mindset behind them
