The girl, wearing a plain skirt, an old shirt, scuffed ballet flats, and a backpack on her back, entered the main office of a large company.
She stopped at the reception desk and calmly said:
— May I see your CEO?
The receptionist, looking at her with disdain, replied coldly:
— We don’t have a vacancy for a cleaning lady.
— No, — the girl said quietly. — I’m here for another matter.
Behind her, the office staff began whispering and giggling softly.
